This course provides the student with the knowledge skills and abilities to assume a leadership role in commanding, directing and controlling emergency response to a Hazardous Materials incident. The student will be instructed on forming their abilities to assess hazard, manage risks, comply with legal requirements, and implement protective actions. Class activities, tabletop discussions, as well as case studies with an emphasis in hands on decision making will assist the student in developing the requisite knowledge to form comprehensive safe action plans.
